The main motivation for opening YES is not an interest in economics or a desire to learn economics better. Perhaps it is to create a win-win opportunity for everyone, that is, to learn new knowledge in an interactive and interesting way. Personally, I and many of my groupmates studied economics through lectures and theories, which is why after the final exam we almost forgot 50% of what we had learnt. The main goal of YES is to combine this theory with practice and help young students discover economics from a new perspective.

The motivation behind YES isn’t a special passion for economics or a plan to “study it better.” It’s to create a win-win space where everyone learns in interactive, engaging ways. Like many of my peers, I learned economics through lectures and theories—and forgot half of it after the final. YES aims to unite theory with practice so young learners experience economics firsthand and discover it from a new, lasting perspective. Because knowledge that’s used is knowledge that stays.
